Fun in the Sun with our Dear Milwaukee Friends!

We had another great visit with our dear Wisconsin friends, Bruce and Cheryl


They arrived on a beautiful sunny day into Tampa.
We spent our time with fun days of beach, golf and great food with evenings spent playing our favorite card game, Wizard!

Our Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Party at the Church Hall was fun and we met some interesting people.

We enjoyed a great boat ride down the Inter Coastal Waterway from Englewood to Cape Haze. It was a fun time that we also shared with the beautiful, playful Dolphins.

And of course a lot of time on the beach, our favorite was the beach at Don Pedro SP and Manasota Beach.

 

 

They sure appreciated the warm and sunny weather, especially after enduring the worst Wisconsin winter of all time.



 

They did a beautiful job on the project of the special window treatments in the kitchen, guest bath and guest bedroom.

We enjoyed spending time at the Jazz concert in downtown Venice with our friends.

We always have a great time together!  Great friends are a gift.




Hope they can come back soon.

Our Dear Michigan Friends!

We had another great visit with our dear Michigan friends, Ed and Liz.

They arrived on a beautiful sunny day into Fort Myers.
We spent our time with fun days of beach, golf and great food with evenings spent watching the Winter Olympics and playing our favorite card game, Wizard!


Since Liz has a green thumb, she helped with the spring planting! 

We enjoyed a great cruise on Sarasota Bay aboard the Marina Jack II, it was a fun time we also shared with our good friends from Florida, Dan and Kathy.

They sure appreciated the warm and sunny weather,especially after enduring the worst Michigan
winter of all time.

And of course golf at Myakka Pines GC.

We always have a great time together!

Golf with our Great Nephew - Riley!

We had a very nice visit from our young Great Nephew (Riley) after we attended his Graduation from Pro Golf College in Hilton Head, SC.
It was a wonderful few days with a lot of golf and visiting the beautiful beaches of SW Florida.
We enjoyed his company and look forward to his return.

First Florida Winter Visitors of 2013 - 2014

Our first visitors this winter were our dear friends from Wisconsin, Bruce & Cheryl.  They arrived on Nov 12th in Tampa and it was a great reunion, just like we have never been apart.

We started with a trip to the Columbia Restaurant at St Armand's Circle in Sarasota and had a great lunch together.  It is one of our favorite Florida restaurants, especially when we get to share it with great friends.

Spent a day at Gasprilla Island, Boca Grande Beach.

We also enjoyed some time at Siesta Key Beach!  Voted the best beach in the USA in 2012, the sand is like powder sugar and so white it hurts your eyes.


Shelling was a lot of fun on the beaches, Bruce and Cheryl found many shark's teeth and a lot of great seashells.  We never tire of hunting for those beautiful shells!

We enjoyed some fun golf at Myakka Pines Golf Club, our favorite course!

Our time together was wonderful, besides beaching we spent time golfing, swimming, shopping, playing games (Bruce is the Wizard champ with high score of 510!), eating and just relaxing in the sun together.  Time went by way too fast.




Cheryl was again a great help with decorating our Florida home with her special touches.  The placement of the new china cabinet is just perfect and we will think of her when we enjoy the look.

The sunsets were beautiful and we enjoyed many.




It was a great week and looking forward to their return visit in Feb 2014!
